Turmeric Golden Tea Recipe

Makes 2 Servings

This is a delicious winter warmer to have on days when you are fighting a cold and want to boost your immune system or at night to help you relax, encouraging digestion and a restful sleep.  

2 Cups Coconut milk or other non-dairy milk (Canned coconut milk can be used for a thicker consistency)
1 tsp Turmeric
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp raw honey or maple syrup
a pinch of ground black pepper (assists absorption of curcumin)
a small piece of fresh ginger or 1/4 tsp powdered ginger (optional but highly recommended) 

Put all ingredients in a blender or in a large bowl with an immersion blender and mix until well blended. Pour into pot and heat on med for a few minutes until just before a boil. Pour into your favorite mugs and enjoy!
