With all the that is happening in the world, especially right now, we are reminded of all the things we do not have control over.
It can be easy to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, uncertain, sad and afraid.
With all the news, advertisements, social media and discussions with others, we may begin to experience an increase in negative emotions that can start to confuse us about who we are, where we belong, what we stand for and not only how we want to live in the world but what kind of world do we want to live in.
Today, I am going to guide you through a Loving-Kindness Meditation.
It is a beautiful practice that helps open our hearts to love, compassion and empathy for ourselves and for others.
Some days it is hard to remember to offer these gifts, even to ourselves, as we may feel depleted or come from a place of scarcity.
But, there is enough; we just need to continue to cultivate and nurture our loving kindness so we can continue to give from a place of surplus.
If we could create an abundance of loving-kindness within ourselves and then share it with not only our family and friends but out to our community, those we may have positive or negative feelings towards, those we have never met and out to beings everywhere, we may just make a difference and heal pain and suffering in the world.
A regular meditation practice is proven reduce stress, anxiety, depression and even physical pain helping you live a healthier, happier and more inspired life.
