If you’ve heard of “blue zones”, then you know that having a strong social network – or finding the right tribe – even if it’s small – can dramatically improve your health. If you haven’t heard of blue zones, they are basically areas of the world where people tend to live the longest and highest quality lives.
People living in blue zones – many of whom live to be over 100, chose – or were born into – social circles that support healthy behaviors. And something super fascinating is that research shows that smoking, obesity, happiness, and even loneliness are contagious, which is kind of wild, when you think about it.
