Neurodiversity

You’re not alone, we’re here to support you.

Neurodiversity is a way of understanding the natural variations in how people think, learn, process information, and experience the world. It includes diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and more—viewed not as deficits or disorders, but as different ways of being human. At Vancouver Wellness Studio, we honor neurodiversity as a source of strength and creativity. Every neurodivergent experience is unique, and there is no single "right" way to think or feel. Our goal is to create an environment where individuals can be supported, understood, and empowered to thrive—exactly as they are.

Our Approach to Neurodiversity-Affirming Care
At Vancouver Wellness Studio, we support neurodivergent individuals and their families with care that is respectful, personalized, and rooted in compassion. We don’t see neurodiversity as something to "fix"—we see it as a natural part of being human. Our therapists use a strength-based, non-judgmental approach that values each person’s unique experience. We are trauma-informed and inclusive, creating a safe space where people can feel understood and supported. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your whole family, we work with you to build a care plan that fits your needs and goals.

Family Therapy and Parenting Support

When a child or family member is neurodivergent, it can bring unique challenges—but also opportunities for deeper connection and understanding. At Vancouver Wellness Studio, we support families as they navigate diagnoses, daily stressors, and shifting family dynamics. Our therapists work with both parents and children to improve communication, reduce tension, and create supportive routines that honor everyone’s needs.

We help families with:

  • Navigating communication challenges and emotional outbursts

  • Managing school-related stress, IEP/504 planning, and advocacy

  • Strengthening sibling relationships and reducing conflict

  • Building routines that support regulation and connection at home

  • Coaching parents on co-regulation, boundaries, and self-care

for Children and Teens

Children and teens who are neurodivergent often experience the world in beautifully unique ways—but they may also face challenges that impact their confidence, relationships, or emotional wellbeing. At Vancouver Wellness Studio, we offer therapy that meets young people where they are, using play, creativity, and connection as tools for healing and growth. Our therapists help children build the skills they need to navigate emotions, relationships, and self-expression with confidence.

Our work with kids and Teens includes:

  • Play therapy and creative expression to support communication and connection

  • Building social-emotional tools for resilience and regulation

  • Supporting children in advocating for their needs and celebrating who they are

We also work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure progress continues at home and in school.

Adult Neurodivergent Support

Many adults come to understand their neurodivergence later in life—often after years of masking, burnout, or feeling "different" without knowing why. At Vancouver Wellness Studio, we offer a supportive, affirming space for adults to explore their identity, heal from past misunderstandings, and build new ways of living that feel aligned and sustainable. Whether you've recently received a diagnosis or are beginning to suspect you're neurodivergent, you're welcome here.

We support adults through:

  • Navigating later in life diagnoses and processing new insights

  • Unmasking and reclaiming a more authentic identity

  • Coping with sensory sensitivities, burnout, or work-related stress

  • Improving relationships and setting healthy boundaries

  • Exploring self-acceptance and building daily routines that work
